As part of Melbourne Fringe Festival, Transient takes a small group on evening tours to sites in St Kilda that have been activated by local artists. Join Writer Bram Presser, Sound artist D.A Calf and artists Belle Bassin and Fiona Williams. They will activate four sites through projection, sound, spoken word and performance. These ephemeral works explore the idea of transition, encouraging audiences to go on a unique journey around Acland Street and experience art differently.

You will be met by your host and as a group roam through laneways to sites that have shaped the urban fabric of St Kilda. At each location, an artist will present a contemporary reflection through their practice. An ode to the now closed Cafe Scheherazade on Acland Street and the Legendary storyteller Queen Scheherazade of 1001 Arabian Nights.

This project has been assisted by the Port Phillip City Council through the Vibrant Acland Seed Grant Program.

Wynter Projects acknowledges that these walks will take place on the lands of the Yalukut Willam Clan of the Boon Wurrung peoples and pays respect to Elders both past, present and future. Sovereignty was never ceded.
